RIRS

Retrograde intra-renal surgery (RIRS) is a endourologic method to remove kidney stones. A flexible ureteroscope is generally used to reach stone via urethra and the stone fragmented by a laser lithotripter. This procedure usually performed under spinal or general anesthesia. Holmium laser is the main type of laser used for this operation.
